We are a newer Section of the National Association of Rocketry that
serves the southwest Chicago suburban area. Our club promotes rocketry for the
entire family with an emphasis on supporting the youth of our
communities through rocketry related educational programs.
We support a number of different Scouting
organizations as well as 4H clubs.
We're scheduling our first meeting for 2012 very
soon. Please click here to fill
out a form so that we can contact you once we have our meeting time
and place scheduled.
Please contact us if you would
like to have your group be involved in rocketry and we'll take it
from there!
Here's a flyer on our club (flyer).
We
held building and launch session on April 22nd
and 29th. This was held in conjunction with the Kendall County
4H group and was open to all kids from ages 8-18. The April 22nd
session was a 2-hour building session where participants
learned about model rockets and got to build a real model rocket for
the low fee of $8.00. We provided the rocket kit and building
materials. The April 29th session was the launch date where a
fun and safe launch was conducted. We'll post photos shortly.
50th anniversary of the Moon landing- We
conducted a build and launch session on July 18th from 12:30pm 3:30 in Villa Park,
Illinois at the Villa Park Public Library. This event was held in conjunction with the Villa Park
Public Library and Parks and Recreation Department. More information
